Our new 4-legged friend...Chaz

We adopted our Golden Retriever Max 7 years ago and 3 months ago he ran away with a new friend he made and after 100's of fliers, numerous trips to the pound, and gallons of gas we realized he wasn't coming home.  So we began the search for a new friend knowing that we could NEVER replace Max.  We came in contact with a sweet woman needing to place her 3 year old German Shepherd with a family and so we gained a new furry friend.

Chaz came to live with us last Wednesday, March 23rd and quickly found his place in our family.  He & Keelie bonded immediately.
The boys love to play fetch with him and he loves to chase the ball and run after the kids.

Chaz quickly learned how to beg and who to beg from......

He loves to ride in the car, we are not allowed to leave without him.....

My favorite picture so far, I love how comfortable she is with him and how good he is with her!!

Babies galore!!!

On March 16th one of our cows, Lulu had her baby.  This was an awesome moment here at our house.  We were all so excited.  Since we got the cows we have spent a lot of time watching them. Chris and I both catch ourselves talking to them like they can understand us.   Since he was born the day before St Patricks day we named him Lucky.

Then on March 24th Daisy had her baby.  When I first saw the baby I thought it was a boy but with further inspection is was a little girl.  We looked up famous birthday and it was Clyde Barrow's birthday of Bonnie and Clyde so we named her Bonnie.  She is so sweet she looks like a little lamb.

From the city to the farm!

In July of 2010 we moved from our home in Burleson, where we lived for 7 years, with all of our friends and our church that we loved so much to move to the country.  This has always been something that we wanted to do.  We wanted to move away fromt he city and have land for the kids to roam and explore.  To raise animals and plant a garden and learn together what it was like to be simple.  Well.....so far it's been nothing but simple!!  :)  The first few months were very hard to adjust to.  The kids missed their friends and I missed mine.  We missed the convineces of getting in the car and picking a gallon of milk and being back home in 10 minutes.  It take 20 minutes on a good day just to get to town.  While Chris stayed in his routine of working we were out in the middle of nowhere and we didn't know anyone but GG, Papaw, & Uncle Perry.   When the kids started school it was culture shock we went from 100 kids in one grade to 217 kids in the whole school pre-k through 8th!  Weston has 12 kids in his class, Rawley has 21 and Brazos has 22 or so in his.  Not to mention Braz had gone to school with the same kids since kindergarten.  It was hardest on him, finding his place and  new friends.  Now with only 10 weeks left of school the kids have their friends and things are easier for them.

The house when the deck was bring built
At first all we did was work outside, we moved the house out here and built on a covered deck that spend alot of time on.  Cleaning the yard, putting up fence, picking grapes, picking plums, clearing brush, mowing, etc....was all new & hard work but we did it and we love the time spent together.  We are all learning because this is all new to us all.   I now know that this is where we are suppose to be and I thank God for placing us here.  Some days are still hard and I miss my friend but I know that I can pick up the phone and hear their voices.

Football & Ducks

Chris and I took the kids to the Trinity Park for a picninc and to feed the ducks. It was Keelie's first trip to the duckpond.....she really could care less.  But the kids and Chris played football while Keelie and I hung out on the blanket and enjoyed the breeze.

Keelie Morgan

We had Kristy Krouse take some pictures of Keelie for her birth announcments.  Her are some of them...

Does it show how much I love her??

As most of you know we have a new addition to the family. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to have a daughter. I have always had her name picked out and I prayed so hard everytime Chris and I became pregnant, but each time we were blessed with handsome little boys. After Rawley was born we decided that we were finished building our family. That God gave us three healthy little boys and this was what our life was. Though the feeling of having my little girl never went away it was not as strong until about two years ago. The idea of having a baby girl was overwheling and I knew that the time for building our family was running out. I began to pray that God would find a way to bring a daughter into my life. Chris and I decided that we would look into adoption this time next year, but as it turns out God had another plan for us. Keelie Morgan was born January 11 of 2009 weighing 6 pound and 3 ounces. She was what we have been waiting for and now our family is complete! We are in the process of adopting her and making her a Moore. Please pray that all goes according to plan and that she continues to thrive in this family. I thank each one of you who prayed and stood by me as this all unfolded. Most importantly I thank my husband for being the kind and wonderful man that he is. Without him none of this would be possible. So now we are a family of six.

I did it without crying...much!!

He is there and I am okay! I think I got all the tears out yesterday. Thank Goodness. He was so big walking into school and Brazos was so excited he didn't even tell me bye. I had to go find him to tell him bye. I didn't make him give me a hug or kiss, (which was VERY hard). Rawley is so happy to be at home with Mommy by himself. I can't believe I had a fourth grader and a Kindergartener. How time goes by!
